A thumb abduction orthosis made of a rigid, padded material with the ability to be adapted to the contour of the patient's hand. The rigid material embraces the palmar and dorsal aspects of the thumb, leaving the metacarpophalangeal joints of the other fingers free. It adjusts and fastens at the wrist using Velcro closures. It features ventilation holes.
